International journalists bestow Press Award

The Press Award is a prize bestowed by a jury of editors-in-chief of important horticultural titles. They elect the new product they believe to be the most outstanding from among the nominations for the Innovation Award.

The jury assesses new products for qualities including technical or environmental progress and increased profitability, but aspects like ergonomics, sustainability, economic importance and range expansion are also taken into consideration. The winner of the Press Award is announced at the Horti Fair. The presentation of the Press Award takes place during the official opening ceremony on Tuesday morning 30 October.

All companies nominated for the Innovation Award automatically compete for the Press Award. The 2011 winner of the Press Award was Mardenkro B.V. for ReduFuse.
