The Horti Fair is working with digital visitor registration again this year. As from this summer visitors can register via a special system. Exhibitors can refer their associates to this system and can even win the Marketing Cup as a result.
The digital visitor registration system is simplicity itself. Everyone who wants to visit the Horti Fair free of charge has to register in advance and there is a special website for this purpose. This website keeps a record of the website that the visitor came from, which is possible because all exhibitors receive a unique website address for visitor registration. Exhibitors can find this URL in the digital Exhibitor Manual.
The visitor registration system therefore measures which exhibitors are most successful in recruiting visitors. The company that has won the Marketing Cup is announced shortly before the end of the trade show. The prize for the winning company is free stand space in 2013 (equal to the size of its stand in 2012).
In 2011 there were 140 exhibitors who took part in the digital visitor registration. They placed buttons on their websites with links to the visitor registration system, and organized special campaigns among other things. Horti Fair director Frans-Peter Dechering expects that even more exhibitors will participate this year. “Sharing the advantages of each other’s associates, that’s the idea behind our digital visitor registration.”
